10 Minute Pillows & Fabric Covered Toy Chest

by Natasha on May 17, 2010 in Uncategorized

I love this tutorial from a pretty cool life, I used it to make these removable pillow covers for the new playroom. I refuse to do any big reveal until I get my camera back but I couldn’t resist showing you a few of the projects. (;The fabric is from Heather Ross’ Mendocino line, I also used it for a few other projects in the room like this toy chest…It was just a plain “wooden” chest (it’s not real wood otherwise I totally would’ve painted it) & I bought some foam pieces from JoAnn’s that were the length & width of the top, stapled the fabric tautly on top & wah–lah, it now leads a double life as a bench!Did you guys have a nice weekend? It’s so rainy & dreary here today but the weekend was beautiful, we took Sam to the airshow, isn’t she the cutest in those crazy headphones??

Beautifully done! There is an antique chair sitting in my basement waiting to be upholstered… This definitely inspires me to get on it!

The pillows look so well made and adorable! I'm pretty much obsessed with Heather Ross Mendocino– my kids' room is done up with lots and lots and lots of it!

LOve the toy chest idea! If I had a dollar for everytime one of my children have falled and gotten a good sized egg or bruise from hitting furnature I would be a rich woman! This would eliminate that threst completely! <3
