Zesty Crock Pot Chicken

by Natasha on October 2, 2009 in crockpot recipe, dinner 101

I LOVE MY CROCK POT. Seriously, there’s nothing better than getting all the prep done in the morning (when I actually have energy) getting the kitchen all clean and having a super yummy dinner all ready to go by 5 o’ clock. Not to mention the house smells downright delish!

Here’s my new favorite…
Tried & Trues: Zesty Crockpot Chicken (I served it over no yolk’s egg noodles & with a side of asparagus for our veggie)

Even Samster ate the whole thing! Now that’s saying something.

***UPDATE*** Ok, I’ve made this 3 times now because it’s that good…now my new way is to add a pack of sliced mushrooms to the crock pot and let those cook with the chicken all day. Then right before dinner I’ll steam broccoli in the microwave and toss it in crockpot, mix it in the sauce and serve all of it over noodles…SO STINKIN’ GOOD!

Sounds yummy! I've done the same recipe before except with a pork tenderloin. I've also used a ranch dressing packet instead of the Italian, but hubby prefers the Italian. I'll try it with the chicken next!

that sounds great. and I LOVE crockpot recipes too! one question, do you boil your chicken before you put it in the crockpot?

No,no,nooooo! what makes crockpot meats so deliciously tender is that the meat cooks slowly in the juices. No precooking necessary!

I made this for supper last night and it was FABULOUS! We did it over rice (because that's what I had) and my husband and I both loved it. I have leftovers for lunch today. Thanks!!

It is SO good, we always add a bag of fresh spinach in at the end and it is delicious!

I made this last night and it was delicious! My only question is how do you get the cream cheese smooth and blended. Mine stayed lumpy.

cut it into small chunks & microwave it for a few seconds to soften it, then when you add it to the crock pot it should melt nicely as you stir it in…mmmm, now I’m totally craving this!

LOVED this receipe! I just got a crock pot for Christmas and was trying to find the perfect receipe (since I had no idea how to use a crock pot) and I came across this one. It is full of flavor and it literaly melts in your mouth. We served it with mashed potatoes and corn and my kids ate it all. They even licked the plate! (: Simply amazing and delicious!!

I love this recipe! It’s my go-to meal. I recently tried it with Philadelphia cooking cream (Italian Seasoning Flavor) and it was AMAZING! soooooo creamy
