I swear I’m going to start dreaming about cupcakes soon…
We have officially entered birthday countdown mode in my house. Only 3 weeks until Samster’s 1st birthday & everything I see reminds me of a cupcake task I need to complete. Goodie bags need to be appliqued, dress finished, photo sign made, hotel room blocked for the massive droves of family that I for some reason insisted all be here…
Last night I stayed up wayyy too late working on Sam’s very special 1st birthday party dress. It actually only took a few hours once I got going but I had to spend FOREVER fidgeting with the tension because the bobbin thread was making a hot mess on the back of the material.
I must admit, I’m pretty darn proud of myself. The back still needs some work, sewing buttons on and so forth, and the skirt needs to be attached but other than that it’s pretty much done! I can’t wait to see it on Samster but it’s naptime so my stand in model will have to suffice…
