DC Big Flea Market!

by Natasha on September 19, 2009 in Uncategorized

I was just going through my craft blog updates and saw this post from My Mama Made It, OMGOSH what a good find! She inspired me to see if we have any good flea markets in my area and guess what?! The DC Big Flea Market is in town at the Dulles Expo Center TODAY!!! I’m so excited! Now how do I convince P to go? He should be in a good mood since he’s upstairs sleeping in as we speak…hmm…I’m going to have to work my magic on this one. Wish me luck! Perhaps I need to pull out my secret weapon pink bra…perhaps…

I hope you found some great things!! I am hoping to make it out there tomorrow – did you think it was worth the $8 to get in?

I have had your blog bookmarked for a while, but never really commented. A few weeks ago I was sick, and decided I'd take the forced quarantine as an opportunity to get some of the crafts on my "to-do" list done. First I did your butterfly collage – it turned out GREAT and was so EASY!!

Now I want to try the Tuxedo tank. I was wondering – how do you wash it? Is it dry clean only since you've placed the ruffles on it?

Thanks for creating such a great blog. It has been truley inspirational for me.

Eh, I was dissapointed…I was hoping for more of a down and dirty flea market where if you dig enough you can find a treasure for $5…this was more of an antique show. 90% of the booths were overpriced if you ask me.

I'm so excited you were able to make some of the crafts! For the tuxedo tee I just wash and dry it on cold and low heat. If the ruffles seem flat after drying you can spritz them with a water bottle and fluff them up.

Thanks for visiting me blog! I got the leopard fur coat online at Gymboree for $20! Hope you can get it too! I can't wait to put my little one in it.
