For two reasons…

I just got back from the ‘entire store 25% off’ sale at GStreet Fabrics and found EXACTLY what I’ve been hunting for! For Sam’s bday dress I have this design in my head which involves a detachable tutu. I mean, everyone needs the option of a tutu on their birthday, right? This shimmery organza is GORGEOUS and just the right colors for a super girly, super awesome, super birthday tutu! Now I don’t exactly have a literal pattern for this dress but the design has been churning in my head for months now. The top of the dress is the cupcake fabric below and the bottom is a yet to be found brown mini polka dot print.
As I’m typing this I realize it sounds crazy, I think I’ll sketch something out this weekend, scan it, and see what you think…

I can’t tell you what that is or what it means. Not yet at least. But soon, very very soon!! I can tell you that it’s something I’ve been tossing around for awhile but it just hasn’t been right yet, now I feel like it is and if all goes well this weekend I’ll be able to share the good news on Monday!
