Meet Terrance

by Natasha on June 14, 2009 in Uncategorized

Terrance is a teething monster. Duh.

Here’s what happened. Samster has been a CRANKPOT lately and I know she’s teething because of the drool and incessant gnawing on anything that comes within 5 ft of her mouth. After several denials she finally let me look in her mouth and guess what I found? Not one, not two, not three but FOUR TEETH COMING IN! My poor little Samster! All four of her top teeth are somewhere in the process of pushing their way through. I felt so bad for the Samps so during her naps I decided to make her a buddy who was teething too. Misery loves company after all. Hence Terrance the teething monster. When I showed this to P his first question was why I made Sam a doll with, well, there’s no delicate way to say this, with pubes. LOL! Oh geez, I guess it does look pretty odd but there’s an explanation! To keep Sam busy when I’m sewing I let her pull my nicely folded fabric off of the shelf and make a big fun mess. The first fabric she ALWAYS goes for is that furry brown faux fur, I didn’t have enough to make a whole doll out of it so I thought a furry belly would be fun. I guess I underestimated the fur.

I wouldn’t change it though, Terrance makes us laugh and Sam LOVES him! So in the end goal accomplished, Sam has a teething buddy and hopefully when she’s older a stuffed toy that she can show her college roommates and she’ll smile and think of her crazy mama.
