Mommy Ballerina

by Natasha on October 27, 2009 in ballet flats, mom fashion, mommy outfit

I’m always on the hunt for a good pair of ballet flats because let’s face it, it’s that, Uggs or sneakers 99% of the time.

Here are some I’m hoping to actually purchase if I can sneak them under the Samster Daddy radar, and some I’ll have to be content with just daydreaming about…

Jcrew Kelsey Suede Flats $98

Marc by Marc Jacobs Gunmetal Flats $194.50

Marc by Marc Jacobs Women’s 694157 Flat,Smog,35 EU (US Women’s 5 M)

Sam Edelman Women’s Candela Ballet Flat $43.60 (ohh, so many colors to choose from!)
Lavender by Vera Wang $195 (very comfy looking, also come in red & black)

Boden Gold Bow Flats $98 (sooo these might already be in route to my house, I mean, if they show up on my doorstep it’s not like I’m going to say no right? RIGHT?)
Coach Randy Ocelot Flat $168

What do you think? Drooling yet?

I love flats!! I mean I am married so there is no need to impress anyone and heels can get uncomfortable so flats have been my go to shoe! I got a pair from DSW and have had them 3 months and they are already breaking apart. 🙁 I am so bummed so I am glad someone else out there has some good flats they can recommend. Thanks for the post.

Also on a random side note. I noticed you get migraines a lot. I used to get them about 7-10 times a month for 5-6 years straight. A lot of it had to do with a car accident I was involved in but it also had to do with a birth control I was taking. I am not sure if you are taking any form of birth control but if you are this might be part of the cause. Since stopping birth control, which was scary because I had been taking it since I was 18, I would say I am 75% migraine free. I understand your pain when you get a migraine they are THE WORST. I remember one time I went to Hawaii with my family and the first week we were there I had a migraine every day. Horrible absolutely horrible. Any way thought I would let you know what caused some of mine. And one that note I am typing wayyy too much!

I wear flats everyday!!!! My husband is only an inch taller than me. To avoid being taller than him I wear flats.
Love the cute ones you posted. I am too cheap though to spend $100 bucks on a pair of shoes. My Uggs are the most expensive pair of shoes I have ever owned.

I thought I posted this yesterday…must have forgot to hit post!

Your a mind reader because I was going to e-mail and ask if you had any recommendations (since your mommy style post are so great!) I have always been a heel girl but they are not so good on the playground but all the ballet flats I have tried hurt my feet (more than a heel, really!) Do you have any already? Which is the most comfortable?

Mama B, I do have a pair of the jcrew suede ballet flats from last season and they are by far the most comfortable flats I've ever owned! Which is hard for me because I have crazy long toes & narrow feet but these, these have been WONDERFUL! The only thing is last year they ran about a 1/2 size big, I don't know about this year yet so you might want to try them on in the store if you can.

I also have the Boden gold ones, the postman did "happen" to drop them off & they're pretty comfy so far although they do need some breaking in. I think they'll do well after that though, just a little stiff for now.
