Have you seen the Air Curler infomercial yet?? Trust me, you’d know it if you’d seen it. (scroll down to view it) Sam saw it & oh how that sweet innocence soaked up the promise of quick & easy curls like the little pink sponge she is. She begged & pleaded for me to order it & I have to admit, I was pretty curious myself. So fast forward $14.95 plus some obscene amount of “shipping & processing” and the ‘Air Curler’ was ours for the taking. BUT….
DOES IT REALLY WORK???
Also, do you know what I noticed after watching this again? At no point do they show the hair go from straight to curled all in one shot. Either there’s some sort of quick edit or the shot starts with the hair already in the curler where it easily could’ve been slipped in pre-curled. Shady.

Usually when a blogger I like vlogs, I’m kind of disappointed… they are typically much more interesting, humorous and charming in writing (as many writers are). You, however, are an exception. While I enjoy reading your blog, you are even more interesting, humorous and charming via video! You have a very expressive face, which lends itself wonderfully to being on camera. 🙂 And how cute is Sam? BTW, I used a similar contraption that a friend had bought (I don’t think it was this one in particular, but same concept) and it totally just spun my fine hair into a bunch of knots… I basically looked like I had just ridden in a convertible at high speeds without a ponytail holder.
This was adorable! Having worked in the infomercial business I can tell you its quite disappointing that the products never work haha! Also, I am 14 weeks pregnant and this video made me want a little girl soooooooooo bad!!!

You know, even though that clearly didn’t work, if Sam told me to buy it I’d still get it. That kid is so darn cute! I loved how sad she got when it wasn’t working and how she squinted her eyes so hard when the machine was on.

I saw this infomercial just the other day and was wondering if it actually did what it claimed it would do! The video you and Sam made is so stinking cute!!! If she was selling this contraption I would totally buy it just because of how adorable she is!!! Sucks it didn’t work but man oh man totally adorable! Loved it!

The Air Curler is part of a scam. They are associated with SHOPPERS ADVANTAGE. Do a Google Search on “BBB Receives Thousands of Complaints on Mysterious Credit Card Charges” and you will see even CHASE BANK is part of this. If you purchase the Air Curler, aside from the payment for the product, you will start to see your credit card charged monthly – under TLG*SHOPPER 800-526-4848. They may even use a different name some day but I was scammed under that name. They took $8.00 out of my CHASE account every month for 5 months. Also, don’t ever use a debit card. Shoppers Advantage is able to still charge you through your bank account even if you change your debit card #. They are shameless and evil.
Cute video. But I wanted to tell you that the reason it wasnt working for you is because that piece that the air blows out of has to point to the side not down into the “bucket”. Yet it still doesnt last more than 2 seconds but maybe if you do your daughters hair she with it pointing the correct direction then she will be happy.
