Home Sweet Home

by Natasha on April 29, 2010 in Uncategorized

and exhale…..whewwwww….

After a week of being gone I am OH SO happy to be home! Don’t get me wrong, Disney was fun & seeing family was wonderful but a week away from home with a toddler is about all I can take. I miss my routine. How nerdy is that?

I do have some sad news though, we’re coming home minus one. My macbook suffered a tragic “beer spillage incident” by a certain family member who shall remain nameless & had to stay in Tampa at the Mac hospital. She was actually seeing a specialist today, I’m still waiting for news…

I’ve never been much of a techie & since I’m a mostly stay at home mom you’d think I wouldn’t be too attached to my laptop but I gotta say, I miss my girl. There’s something very comforting about having all my pictures & blog post research all in my own little place that’s just mine. I usually blog at night while Sam & P watch Dora, that’s my time with just me & mac. Of course since I’m writing this you can tell we have another computer at home but he’s no mac. Hopefully she’ll be home soon, if the doctor’s should come back with a worse case scenario however don’t fret, just 2 weeks ago P bought a hard drive & backed up all our computers. How awesome is that timing? I don’t even want to think about if he hadn’t & all those beautiful baby pictures that only I had a copy of…ack!

Oh! And can I just take a sec to brag about my sister’s awesome creativity?! They’ve become quite the little craftsters. Maggie made this wreath using a similar style to the roses I did on my throw pillow a few weeks ago. Couldn’t you see this on display at Urban Outfitters?? I’m SO impressed. And then Rebecca sculpted this jewelry case in her ceramics class. Let me tell you, I took ceramics in college, college mind you, & nothing I made ever came out this good. The pottery wheel was not my friend.Hmm, after taking a better look at this picture I see my sister’s name is missing a “B”, I’m afraid a certain Samster might be to blame. Sneaky little bugger.

That’s it for tonight, I feel a little bad being huddled downstairs in the den since I haven’t seen P in 4 days, I’m gonna go cuddle. Well, cuddle as much as is possible with a basketball under my nightgown.

That stinks about your Mac. We are down to 1 computer since our desktop decided it does not want to even turn on anymore. I have thought about getting another comp for the house, but it is on my list–way down at the bottom.
I would say excellent timing that all of your things were backed up!
Did you get any time to work on crafts while you were visiting family?

Gorgeous wreath! I'm glad you backed up all of your files. Welcome home! There's nothing quite like sleeping in your own bed.

You are so sweet and I just love your blog! I am so inspired by you and have finished a couple of your projects. I love to show them off to friends and family. They always say how creative I am. I do tell them where my inspiration comes from… You are doing such an awesome job!

If only the keyboard is damaged it will cost you about $200 to replace it. How do I know? My cat knocked a small amount of coffee right into the keyboard on my Macbook. Hopefully, the keyboard was the only thing damaged. I keep a silicone cover on my keyboard at all times now.
